We're looking for a Project Manager to join the Saracens Foundation team.
The Saracens Foundation was founded in 2000 and is the charitable arm of Saracens Rugby Club.
Over the last 25 years, we have invested millions of pounds on delivering a variety of social impact projects to our local community using sport and physical activity as the tools for positive engagement.

RESPONSIB REPORTS TO: Senior Area Manager
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage the successful delivery of Foundation projects by engaging participants, coordinating activities, maintaining strong community relationships and ensuring projects achieve positive social outcomes in line with the Foundations Strategy.
You will lead the delivery of the Sarries RFC and Project Rugby (Disability) projects, using rugby and physical activity as a vehicle to engage participants who may face barriers to participation.
You will create inclusive, accessible and engaging opportunities that improve physical and mental wellbeing, develop confidence and life skills, strengthen social connections and support participants to progress into sustained participation, volunteering and wider community opportunities.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Delivery
- Deliver high-quality sessions on behalf of the Foundation.
- Manage planning and coordination of projects.
- Ensure sessions are inclusive, engaging and aligned to Foundation objectives.
- Adapt delivery to meet the needs of our beneficiaries.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism.
- Inclusive Rugby Project Delivery
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of the Sarries RFC and Project Rugby projects across designated schools, clubs and community settings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with rugby clubs, schools, disability organisations, community partners and key stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality rugby sessions that provide positive, inclusive and engaging experiences for participants.
- Support participants to develop their skills, confidence, wellbeing and long-term engagement in rugby and physical activity.
- Create and manage participation pathways that enable individuals to progress into sustained involvement within community rugby clubs and activities.
- Monitor participant engagement and maintain accurate records, case studies and impact data.
- Identify and support participants who may require additional support to access and remain engaged in project activities.
- Ensure all delivery is safe, inclusive and compliant with safeguarding and Foundation policies.
- Always act as a positive role model and ambassador for the Saracens Foundation.
- Participant Engagement & Support
- Build positive relationships with participants and external stakeholders.
- Encourage participation, retention and progression within projects.
- Support behaviour management and inclusion within projects.
- Administration & Coordination
- Maintain registers, attendance records and participant data.
- Manage scheduling and logistics for sessions and events.
- Manage communication with participants and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact
- Implement relevant M&E frameworks to obtain impact led data.
- Create project case studies and yearly Impact Reports.
- Assist Grant Executive with funding reporting requirements.
- Safeguarding & Compliance
- Ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
- Complete risk assessments for projects.
- Ensure sessions remain inclusive and accessible.
- Casual Staff & Volunteer Management
- Manage a team of casual staff and volunteers within your area.
- Ensure their adherence to session delivery policies.
- Management of casual staff & volunteer timetable with support of SAM.
- Finance & Budget Management
- Ensure financial processes are followed and executed in a timely manner.
- Manage financial performance of your projects.
- Saracens Foundation Support
- Support and contribute to wider Foundation events where relevant.
- Some evening and weekend work on an ad hoc basis.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Skills - Essential
- RFU England Rugby Coaching Award or equivalent.
- Experience delivering sports sessions to a wide variety of beneficiaries.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage diverse participant groups.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles within sport.
Skills - Desirable
- Knowledge of monitoring & evaluation frameworks and how to implement them.
- An understanding of the sport for change landscape.
- Experience working for a sports charity or equivalent.
- Experience of working with people with a disability.

- Dependant on the charity's financial performance, the Saracens Foundation may conduct an annual pay review.
However, proactive pay increases may be implemented to reflect growing responsibilities.
