Our purpose is to lead high-performance sport to enable extraordinary moments that enrich lives. We are on a mission – to create the greatest decade of extraordinary sporting moments; reaching, inspiring and uniting the nation. That mission is underpinned by three ambitions for UK high-performance sport; to keep winning and win well, to grow a thriving sporting system and to harness those to inspire positive change. Working with the sports and events we fund, DCMS, and our partner organisations across the UK high-performance system, we are building on 25 years of ever-growing success to write the UK’s next chapter for Olympic and Paralympic sport.

About the role: This is a great opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality learning and development across UK Sport. As Learning & Development Business Services Officer, you’ll be central to making sure our learning activity runs smoothly, from planning and coordination through to delivery and follow-up. You’ll support the operational side of L&D, ensuring everything is organised, accurate and delivered to a high standard. You’ll coordinate learning activity and events, managing schedules, logistics and communications so that sessions run seamlessly. Alongside this, you’ll maintain accurate data and records, support contract administration for suppliers and associates, and help track performance and delivery. You’ll also play a key role in monitoring workflows, spotting issues early and helping keep delivery on track. This is a full-time role, working on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of one day per week in the office.

Who will I be working with? You’ll work closely with the Learning & Development Business Services Manager and the wider People & Development team. You’ll also collaborate with colleagues across UK Sport, as well as working with external suppliers, associates and delivery partners to ensure learning activity is well coordinated and ready to deliver.

About you: You’re organised, proactive and take pride in getting the detail right. You’re comfortable managing multiple tasks at once, from coordinating events to maintaining data and supporting processes. You enjoy making things run smoothly and spotting ways to improve how things are done. You’re confident working with systems and data, and you understand the importance of accuracy and consistency. You communicate clearly, build positive relationships and take a service-focused approach in everything you do. Above all, you take ownership and enjoy being part of a team delivering high-quality learning experiences that make a real impact.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Experience coordinating activity, events or services
  • Confidence working with systems, data and administrative processes
  • Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Comfortable supporting budgets, procurement or financial processes
  • A collaborative, team-focused mindset

It’s a bonus if you also have:

  • Experience supporting learning and development or training activity
  • Experience working with suppliers, contractors or external partners
  • Experience managing or maintaining data systems or records
  • A background in business administration, operations or service delivery
  • Experience identifying and improving processes

As you’ll see from the full Job Description, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering a great service and enjoys making things work well behind the scenes. In return, you’ll be part of a supportive team, with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work at the heart of high-performance sport in the UK.
