Overview

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to lead the production of the 2025/26 annual statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver 2025/26 Financial Statements and audit, supported by a two‑month advance and post‑year‑end engagement.
  • Maintain knowledge of public sector accounting, audit and taxation regulations.
  • Serve as the key contact for external auditors, coordinating audit and audit team liaison.
  • Apply IFRS and public sector frameworks (e.g. FReM, SPFM) to financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified accountant, with strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrable experience preparing financial statements.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and public sector accounting frameworks.
