This post is full time and funded until 31 March 2025. We are looking to recruit a Research Associate to make a leading contribution to an exciting programme of complex intervention research led by Professor Sharon Simpson. You will be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications as well as help manage and direct complex projects within the Complexity in Health Programme of the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit (SPHSU). You will work in collaboration with other Unit programmes and will mainly be working on a project called PACES, which aims to increase physical activity and social connectedness among older adults.

This role will be based in the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit. The post for which you are applying is considered “registered work” in terms of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Act. It requires the successful applicant to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to appointment. This check is necessary to ensure that the University of Glasgow fulfils its legal duties under the Act. If you are successful in your application, the offer of employment will be subject to PVG Scheme membership.
