About the role
UKRI are recruiting for a Procurement Manager based at the Harwell Campus, Oxfordshire.
Your responsibilities:
- Draft and Publish Tender Documents compliant with UK Public Sector Procurement Regulations
- Overall responsibility for medium-value complex procurements
- Undertake multiple procurement sourcing/contracting actions as required using the most appropriate route to market to deliver best value and compliance
- Provide expert procurement advice to local end-users including when procurement should be directed to the shared service centre
- Contract Management
- Initial escalation route to Commercial Business Partner
Personal Specification
The below criteria will be scored during Shortlisting (S), Interview (I) or both (S&I):
- Experience of delivering multiple procurements in a regulated environment including contract management for a technical organisation (S&I).
- Experience of using e-sourcing systems (S).
- Experience of managing own workload independently (I).
- Demonstrable behaviours of tact and diplomacy with evidence of stakeholder management to achieve positive outcomes for the organisation (S&I).
- Willingness to adopt new practices in a changing regulatory environment (I).
- Accountable and forthcoming in communication to solve problems as a team (I).
