Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Define and lead the strategic vision for service delivery, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Lead and empower Heads of Service Delivery to deliver high-quality, client-focused services that meet client’s performance expectations.
- Shape and sponsor initiatives to improve service delivery, operational efficiency and the client experience.
- Accountable for overall maintenance of appropriate service policies and standard operating procedures, ensuring legal compliance and alignment to HM government best practice.
- Steward organisational culture, promoting inclusivity, collaboration and innovation across all service lines.
- Exploit technology, automation and digital self-serve capability to increase first time resolution and reduce manual effort across services.
- Oversee resource allocation, workforce planning and capability development to ensure services are equipped to meet strategic goals and service delivery needs.
- Ensure compliance with governance, risk, audit and quality standards across all services.
- Represent the organisation externally, influencing senior stakeholders and securing buy-in for the service strategy.
- Deputise for the Chief Service Delivery Officer when required, including representing Service Delivery at Executive Committees and Board meetings.
- Provide tactical and operational advice to Executive and Senior Management.
- Provide visible leadership across the organisation, fostering a cohesive and high-performing senior leadership community.
To be considered, you will possess the following:
- Proven leadership experience in strategic service ownership within complex or multi-client organisations.
- Substantial working knowledge of the requirements for successful shared service delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior and executive levels.
- Demonstrable track record of driving operational improvement and service transformation.
- Expertise in governance, risk and compliance frameworks and their application in a shared services environment.
- Ability to lead and drive forward cultural change and foster innovation across large teams.
- Experience within public-sector shared services or outsourced service delivery models would be highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of Workday, Oracle or similar enterprise systems preferred.
- Experience of implementing ERP systems in an operational setting.
