Finance Business Partner

We are now seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Corporate Finance Team. In this role, you will be reporting to the BAU Finance Manager, helping them to support our departments with effective financial planning, reporting, forecasting and decision support across both BAU activity and projects by providing business partnering to a range of business units.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support members of the Senior Leadership Group to manage their functions effectively from a financial performance perspective across BAU and project activity
- Partner with budget holders to support and influence the financial management of resources and non-pay budgets
- Lead detailed review and adjustment of actual and forecast figures during the monthly close process
- Provide timely analysis and insight to Heads of Service and the Executive Team in response to finance-related queries
- Ensure accounting entries and client charging are completed accurately and on a timely basis
- Provide advice, support and analysis as part of regular financial reporting, forecasting and planning cycles
- Use management information and financial reporting to improve decision-making and performance management
- Be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and the value provided to stakeholders
- Demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing organisational and service needs, including supporting ad hoc projects and work aligned to business priorities
To be considered for the role, you will need the following:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA), or able to demonstrate substantial equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience in accounting, financial reporting and business partnering
- Demonstrable experience of financial control, forecasting, budgeting and scenario planning
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate financial information into clear insight
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- First-class written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship management skills and experience of engaging senior stakeholders
- Experience of Oracle or Workday would be beneficial
- Prior knowledge of HM Treasury Green Book guidance would be advantageous
