What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Roofer to join our rapidly expanding team to work within a busy environment. You will be working on some of the UK’s oldest buildings as part of a team of Restoration operatives. You will be responsible for carrying out the following:
- Replacing damaged / failed roof slates
- Installing timber roof sections (Purlins, Rafters Etc)
- Complete removal and replacement of roofing materials such as felt, baton and slate
- Installing lead details such as flashing and soakers
- Installation of rain water goods
- Using technical drawings and specifications
- Fitting materials to ensure the roof is fully weatherproof
- Working to building regulations
- Working safely at heights
- Working on historic or culturally significant buildings
What You Need To Have
- Previous experience as a Roofer
- A relevant trade qualification or extensive “on the job” experience
- Experience working with slate & stone tile roofs
- Previous Experience in the Heritage sector an advantage
- Experience installing lead roof details an advantage
- Other trade skills would be of an advantage
- A proven track record
- The ability to work from own initiative or as part of a team
- Great attention to detail
- Able to manage workload and have work completed on time
- Excellent awareness of site health and safety
- CSCS card preferable
- Full UK Driving license (MUST be able to make own way to our remote yard on a daily basis)
