We have an exciting and challenging position for a Construction Project Manager. We will act as a key point of contact throughout the life cycle of a project for internal and external stakeholders and will enable the successful handover upon completion.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of works to ensure timely delivery of the project including liaison with the construction team, sub-contractors and stakeholders.
- Provide Project Management support on any additional works carried out on other sites where necessary.
- Manage all pre-commencement project works across design, budget, and program.
- Prepare regular client progress reports.
- Management of external consultants required to deliver the project.
- Liaison with and progress reporting to stakeholders and clients.
- Obtain quotes from 3rd parties and raise internal purchase requisitions.
- Manage project variations.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc to determine the specifications of the project.
- Ensure that contracted resources deliver work to meet duration, cost and quality targets, addressing and ensuring the correction of under-performance issues.
- Prepare snagging list and manage the close out of these items.
- Produce, manage and implement safe schemes of work for construction procedures i.e. RAMS/CPP.
- Produce, manage and drive SHEQ on each project.
- Monitor the activities and performance of projects.
- Any other reasonable requests made by your line manager.
Experience:
- Project Management experience in a construction environment.
- Experienced in delivering projects to client satisfaction.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Able to understand, create and manage project schedules.
- Demonstrable change management skills.
- Experienced in the identification, analysis and management of project risks.
- Programming and scheduling experience.
- Proven track record of ensuring quality is always being delivered in line with the client’s expectations.
