About the Role

This role sits within the People Team reporting to the People Transformation Lead and working closely with the HR Director to lead the people workstreams within our transformation programme. A key part of the role is ensuring that transformation activity, once implemented, is fully embedded into the People Team’s core processes and ways of working. Equally critical is the active role you will play in building and sustaining long terms capability within the People Team equipping colleagues with the knowledge, tools and confidence to own and evolve this work beyond the life of the programme.

The duties of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Working with the People Transformation Lead to translate strategic transformation objectives into clear, actionable programmes of work
  • Leading specific workstreams within the transformation programme, acting as the specialist lead across workforce planning, organisational design, and skills and talent initiatives
  • Supporting organisational design activity, including the move towards a skills‑based organisation through effective job architecture, skills assessment and talent management approaches
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, delivering insight and evidence‑based recommendations to support transformation outcomes
  • Working closely with the People Team to ensure transformed ways of working are embedded into business‑as‑usual activity
  • Championing employee engagement, inclusion and wellbeing across all people initiatives
  • Partnering with the HR Director and People Transformation Lead to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in People service delivery
  • Ensuring HR policies, processes and practices remain legally compliant, ethical, efficient and fit for purpose during periods of change
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of transformation initiatives on organisational performance and employee experience, escalating risks and opportunities as appropriate

To do the role well, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • A comprehensive understanding of employment law, HR best practice and case management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven experience of delivering complex people initiatives within a transformation or change environment
