THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global IT, you are the AI technical lead within the IT Team for Certinia’s internal AI transformation. You will work hand-in-hand with an AI Business Analyst to identify high-impact enterprise processes and automate them using robust AI technologies. This is an execution-focused role: you will utilise existing, best-in-class AI tools to build scalable solutions that drive organisational acceleration and measurable ROI.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
- Lead Technical Execution: Act as the primary builder for Certinia’s internal AI transformation. Turn high-level process goals into functioning, automated realities.
- Work Autonomously: Operate with a high degree of independence. You are responsible for taking a concept from the requirements phase through to a live, measurable result with minimal supervision.
- Drive Process Transformation: Execute top-down process improvements by integrating AI into enterprise-grade workflows to accelerate organisational adoption.
- Partner with the AI Business Analyst: Work hand-in-hand with the Analyst to validate technical feasibility and deploy solutions that meet the ROI and TTV objectives.
- Utilise Existing AI Technology: Hands-on configuration and deployment of established AI tools (e.g., Salesforce, Gemini, GCP, Claude, AWS) to solve immediate business challenges.
- Accelerate Time-to-Value (TTV): Focus on rapid implementation and scaling of solutions. Move quickly from identification to a live, production-ready state.
- Build Robust Automations: Ensure all AI-driven processes are backed by enterprise-grade technology, robust data pipelines, and reliable API integrations.
- Report on Service Health: Provide the Senior Director, Global IT with data-driven insights into the performance, health, and ROI of deployed AI services.
- Maximise Investment: Identify and unlock underutilised AI capabilities within the current technology stack to eliminate manual overhead and operational friction.
- Adopt AI Guardrails: Collaborate with the Security team to ensure all internal AI implementations remain compliant with InfoSec pillars and data privacy standards.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- Execution Experience: 8+ years in IT or Software Engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical lead role delivering enterprise-grade process automation.
- AI Implementation Track Record: Proven experience utilising existing AI/ML technologies to transform business processes and mitigate LLM-specific risks (e.g., prompt injection and data leakage).
- Leadership Interfacing: Demonstrated experience engaging with Senior Leadership for requirements gathering and delivering high-impact technical demonstrations.
- Process Transformation Mindset: Deep understanding of enterprise-grade business processes and how to apply AI to accelerate ROI and shorten Time-to-Value (TTV).
- Framework Awareness: Familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards, with a focus on ensuring AI implementations align with ISO 42001 (AI Management System) readiness.
- Hands-on Cloud Expertise: Direct experience implementing and securing solutions within major cloud and SaaS environments, specifically AWS, GCP and Salesforce.
- Robust Engineering Standards: Proficient in building reliable data pipelines and API integrations that ensure AI outputs are accurate and enterprise-ready.
- Composure Under Pressure: Proven ability to lead technical deployments through high-pressure phases, such as rapid scale-ups or critical process migrations, with clarity.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Strong ability to work in a "pod" structure with an AI Business Analyst, providing the technical "how" to meet high-level business "whats."
- Technical Storytelling: Strong ability to translate technical AI constraints and successes into clear business language.
- Problem Solving: Proficient in analysing legacy process bottlenecks and solving them using industry-best AI practices and existing technology stacks.
