These policy roles, part of our Consumer Policy Directorate, will support work in evolving and high‑profile areas of work, including addressing serious issues in the high-volume consumer claims market.

The Policy Manager role is a senior role which carries significant responsibilities. We are looking for policy experts who thrive on juggling competing priorities and are able to lead policy development in areas outside of their expertise. In the role of Policy Manager, you will lead the development, delivery and implementation of key policies likely to improve the legal services market in England and Wales. The work will be diverse and fast paced and often high profile.

You will provide specialist advice, support and briefings on complex policy issues within the SRA and externally. Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, you will be confident in establishing influential relationships and will have the credibility to contribute effectively in external debate.

As a member of the SRA’s leadership team, you will promote the SRA’s culture, values, policies and ways of working and will lead pieces of work as well as having opportunities to matrix line manage.
