Requirements of the role:

  • SPC oversees firms and individuals (supervision), creates and reviews the rules by which they operate (policy) and identifies and remedies ineffective competition in markets (competition).
  • The Retail Investment Platforms and Proactive Department within the Consumer Investments Directorate (CI) oversees supervision and proactive engagement across 6,000 firms.
  • The team is focused on building the UK’s investment culture, building trust in the sector, securing positive consumer outcomes and addressing financial crime in a collaborative and forward-looking environment.
  • We are seeking a Manager to oversee Peer-to-Peer (P2P) and Crowdfunding firms that provide alternative finance for businesses and projects.
  • The role supports a regulatory approach that encourages innovation while promoting strong consumer protections and enabling more efficient capital raising opportunities in the UK.
