Job Description

You’ll be offered a permanent opportunity within our Future Infrastructure and Resilience Strategy team to shape our long‑term approach to energy system transformation, influence major regulatory and energy system decisions, identify emerging priorities and help shape the organisation’s response to some of the biggest challenges facing the sector.

You’ll be at the heart of our plans, tackling the big questions while broadening your expertise and contributing to a portfolio in the energy sector that you can be proud of.

You’re a strong strategic thinker with the ability to problem‑solve and analyse at the highest levels, framing and addressing complex problems and developing impactful recommendations for decision‑makers. Alongside excellent communication and influencing skills, you’ll explain the complex in a way that all can understand. A proactive mindset, strong judgement and the ability to work independently while positively contributing to a high‑performing team are essential.

In return, you’ll have the opportunity to influence strategically important work across the energy sector, applying your expertise to projects that will help shape the future direction of the UK energy system. You’ll join a collaborative and supportive environment where new ideas, strategic thinking and professional development are actively encouraged.

We have a critical purpose to help shape a low‑cost, resilient and future‑ready energy system that supports the UK’s transition to Net Zero. Join us and help influence the strategic thinking that will support that mission.
