Role Summary:
Provide high-quality psychiatric care under consultant supervision across inpatient and/or community mental health teams.
Key Duties:
- Assess and manage patients with mental health conditions.
- Participate in ward rounds, MDT (multidisciplinary team) meetings, and case conferences.
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications safely.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Contribute to on-call rota (depending on trust).
- Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies.
- Support audits, teaching, and quality improvement projects.
Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- GMC registration (full or limited).
- Previous psychiatry or UK NHS experience preferred but not always essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £45.00-£50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
