UKR Group is looking for an experienced Setting-Out Engineer to start ASAP in a job in Dartford, Kent.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately setting out line and level for all RC frame elements (columns, walls, slabs, cores).
- Use of total stations, GPS, laser levels, and other surveying instruments.
- Ensure benchmarks and control points are established and maintained.
- Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Conduct checks on dimensions, levels, and tolerances.
- Verify formwork, rebar, and concrete placement against design and industry standards.
- Maintain and file site records and as-built drawings.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with site safety regulations and method statements.
To be successful for this Setting Out Engineer role you must have:
- A recognised qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent (e.g. HNC, HND, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng)
- Strong knowledge of RC frame construction methods.
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and site plans
- Good spatial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Checkable references from previous employers
