UKR Group is looking for an experienced Skilled Groundworker to start ASAP in a job in Brent Cross, North West London.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting site plans, drawings, and levels accurately.
- Excavating and preparing foundations, trenches, and drainage systems.
- Installing kerbs, edgings, flagging, and paving (e.g. block paving or tarmac).
- Laying and levelling concrete and screed.
- Constructing retaining walls and formwork as needed.
- Operating hand tools and small plant machinery (e.g. trench rollers, compactors).
- Ensuring ground compaction meets project specifications.
- Assisting with utility installations (e.g. water, gas, electrical ducting).
- Complying with all health and safety regulations on site.
- Collaborating with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of groundwork techniques and materials.
- Ensures work is completed to high standards and specifications.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Able to adapt to site challenges and resolve practical issues efficiently.
- Clear and effective verbal communication with team members and supervisors.
- Works collaboratively as part of a construction team.
- Strong understanding of site safety procedures and risk management.
