Groundworks Labourers – High Wycombe

UKR Group is looking for an experienced Groundworks Labourers to start ASAP in a job in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, vegetation, and other obstructions.
• Excavate, level, and compact ground to specified measurements.
• Lay foundations, drainage systems, kerbs, paving, and other groundworks structures.
• Assist with the installation of utility services such as water, gas, and electricity.
• Operate and maintain basic hand tools, power tools, and small plant machinery.
• Follow instructions from site supervisors and work as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
• Support other trades on-site as required.

Skills:

• Practical ability and good hand–eye coordination.
• Understanding of basic construction techniques and site procedures.
• Ability to interpret instructions, site drawings, and levels.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic.

Requirements:

• CSCS Card
• Previous experience in groundworks labouring
• Own PPE
• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Must have 2 checkable references
• Be reliable and punctual
• Respectful
• A good team player

Experience:

• Groundworks Labourer: 4+ year (required)
