The purpose of this role is to perform registration and preparation duties to assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory. This is a fixed term contract ending 25/06/2027. Working full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:00 till 16:00.
- Undertaking all tasks within the main laboratory appropriate to the level of training given to you by team leaders and management.
- Registration, preparation and analysis of samples as required in accordance with standards of quality and the requirements of ISO17025.
- Adhering to documented procedures for all aspects of laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day.
- Maintain turnaround time at >99%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved.
- Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.
- Assist through operating best practice in order to meet the requirements of the UKAS accreditation standard.
- Maintain a clean as you go, throughout the laboratories.
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
- A flexible approach to work will be required to assist other departments as and when required.
- Partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company Standard.
- Comply with all relevant Health, Safety and Security Regulations.
- Read and comply with Company rules, procedures, agreements and any notices displayed by the Company throughout your location.
Qualifications:
- Maths and English at GCSE C or above or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good laboratory skills and practices.
- Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook.
