Supporting the commercial team, this role will facilitate the sponsorship, learning and development and delegate sales leads by creating and helping manage the pipeline of opportunities from identification to close.
Key Responsibilities
- Data management - maintain accurate data on the CRM, creation and management of marketing lists on the CRM
- Desk top research to identify target firms and audiences for different product offerings (sponsorship, delegate sales, and learning & development)
- Support the team by delivering lead generating marketing activities for different product offerings (sponsorship, delegate sales, and learning & development)
- Provide administrative support across the commercial team
The role can be broken down into:
Commercial Support
- CRM / Database management - ensure sales lists, targeting lists, contact details and other information utilised by the commercial team is up-to-date and accurate on the CRM
- CRM - create new sales and marketing lists in line with the needs of the commercial team
- Desk top research - utilise tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify new sales targets for our events and learning & development products
- Utilise AI tools to support day‑to‑day commercial activities, including research, analysis, and content creation
- Support the delivery of lead generation campaigns across our suite of commercial products, taking ownership of specific product campaigns
- Joining our events and courses in order to network with members and identify sales opportunities
- Support, and where relevant lead, sales meetings with our members and customers
- Support with the management and maintenance of pipeline documents, sales tracker documents, weekly reporting documents and other administrative activities
- Experiment with and suggest AI tools to improve productivity across the commercial team
- Logging and tracking of sales across our commercial offering
- Provide analysis of past booking trends to support the team with planning and targeting.
- Drafting of sponsorship and learning & development contracts utilising standard templates
- Be comfortable using AI‑supported tools appropriately to enhance productivity and quality of work
Collaboration
- Co‑ordinate between the commercial team to ensure sales targets are met
- Work closely with the other teams across the Industry Development Department and with senior internal and external professionals
- Work on ad hoc project‑based activities to support the commercial teams and support the UK Private Capital's wider work
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Understanding of private equity and venture capital industry
- Strong written skills with some experience of drafting marketing (or persuasive) emails
- Methodical and systematic approach to planning and organising workload
- Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Proficiency in the use of CRM's, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong data management skills
