The predicted salary is between 65000 - 65000 £ per year.
This Stakeholder Engagement Manager will report to the Consents & Stakeholder Engagement Manager and will work within Capital Programme & Procurement based in our London, Maidstone, or Bury St Edmunds office. You will be a permanent employee. You will attract a salary of £65,241 plus business car (or allowance should you satisfy the criteria) and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

JOB PURPOSE: You will manage the stakeholder engagement team providing support to Capital Programme & Procurement (CP&P) projects whilst developing stakeholder engagement strategies across UK Power Networks Capital Programme projects, following company best practice.
DIMENSIONS: Staff: 3. You will not be responsible for a budget.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage the CP&P stakeholder engagement team and development of stakeholder management across Capital Programme Project Delivery to ensure stakeholder engagement excellence is implemented across CP&P to minimise risks and costs to the business and improve corporate reputation.
- Support all Project Managers with a focus on the drive towards Net Zero and Green Recovery for Major Projects across all regions. Stakeholder engagement activities will provide guidance and direct your workload to ensure timescales and requirements are met.
- Work closely with project stakeholders across local authorities, Central Government, statutory and non-statutory bodies, including environment and technical organisations. This collaboration also involves industry and business, land and property, communities, residents, and other parties. The goal is to establish strong working relationships and stakeholder excellence.
- Deliver stakeholder engagement plans following the overarching stakeholder engagement strategy to ensure that all project teams can follow the guidance given to them.
- Help Capital Programme to support ED2 Collaboration Incentive requirements.
- Ensure accurate audit trail maintenance of all stakeholder engagement. All contact and activities must be recorded on the stakeholder database (SRM). This is necessary to report on activities and provide integral data to Ofgem and the wider UKPN stakeholder engagement team. The data will be provided through digitisation of forms, either via Microsoft Form or Tractivity.
- Contribute to weekly/monthly reports for PMO and Project Board and weekly Delivery Team conference calls.
- Monthly internal engagement with relevant teams (Press team, Recruitment, Marketing, Service development team and contributing to the CPP newsletter) to ensure consistency across the business.
- Demonstrate creative methods of engagement with positive results with little to no budget through working partnerships with other departments in the business and across the wider directorate.
NATURE AND SCOPE: The stakeholder management functions within the company are headed by the Head of Engineering who reports to the Director of Capital Programme & Procurement. The Stakeholder Engagement Manager reports to the Consents & Stakeholder Engagement Manager and supports Portfolio Managers, Programme Managers and SMT members. You will manage the stakeholder engagement leads per region and are responsible for stakeholder engagement activities including communications to all partners and to enable the CPP Stakeholder Tier'd strategy with supply chain support.
Your function is organised as three sections:
- Manage and coordinate stakeholder management progression across CP&P and the wider business through collaborative work, presentations, briefings, consultations events, including supporting internal engagement activities.
- Work on proactive and strategic engagement for projects through ensuring project plans for all regions.
- Work on reactive and enquiry-based engagement for projects to ensure that complaints handling works well and is coordinated.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- GCSE Maths, English, Science Grade C and above (or equivalent).
- Educated to A Level/ Level 4 standard or equivalent.
- Experience in Stakeholder Engagement, Communications and or Stakeholder Relationship Management (SRM).
- High levels of Safety awareness and Think Feel Act principles.
- High levels of interpersonal awareness and able to evidence pro social behaviours linked to Vision and Values.
- Team player, being a dynamic thinker with excellent public relations skills.
- CMI / Level 3 Leadership & Management Certificate (Or willingness to work toward).
- CIPR professional accreditation or equivalent (or working toward).
- BSc (Hons) Educated in related field.
