About the Role
Are you ready to lead and inspire a team of talented engineers? Join our Capital Programme team as a Design Manager and play a pivotal role in managing the design development for our projects. You will work with diverse teams to deliver industry-leading solutions, ensuring high-quality designs that comply with relevant legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage design teams, including Senior Design Engineers, Design Engineers, Technicians, and Contractors.
- Oversee the delivery of designs across various projects, from feasibility to commissioning.
- Provide technical leadership and ensure designs meet technical requirements and safety standards.
- Manage team budgets and report on performance to Senior Management.
- Drive technological advancements and optimize design solutions.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Degree level or equivalent in engineering or science.
- Experience in design management and leading design development.
- Knowledge of power system studies, protection systems, and relevant design standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and report writing.
