- Design, configure, and deliver the integration of GIS network models into ADMS platforms to support LV Management use cases.
- Implement and maintain GIS adaptor technologies to ensure accurate model exchange between GIS and ADMS.
- Support end‑to‑end delivery from data extraction and transformation through to ADMS model validation and operational acceptance.
- Data Management and Data Quality
- Develop data management and data quality routines to ensure GIS data is complete, consistent, and suitable for operational use within ADMS.
- Resolve data defects affecting LV network representation, working collaboratively with GIS and business data owners.
- Establish data validation, reconciliation, and exception‑handling processes to maintain ongoing model integrity.
- Data Mastery and Model Governance
- Apply data mastery principles to guarantee a single, trusted representation of LV network assets across GIS and ADMS systems.
- Help develop governance frameworks covering data ownership, change control, and lifecycle management of integrated models.
- Contribute to the definition of standards and best practice for GIS‑to‑ADMS model integration across LV Management projects.
- Coding, Scripting, and Automation
- Develop scripts and utilities to automate data processing, validation, and integration tasks.
- Support continuous improvement by reducing manual effort and increasing repeatability and reliability of GIS–ADMS integration processes.
- Help with the build, deployment, and configuration activities in development and test environments where required.
- System Support and Change Management
- Provide technical support for GIS–ADMS integration components within the wider control systems landscape.
- Participate in change and release management activities to ensure safe and controlled deployment of model updates into operational systems.
- Support incident investigation and root‑cause analysis related to GIS or ADMS model issues affecting LV operations.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with LV Management teams, Control Engineers, GIS specialists, and external suppliers to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Translate business and operational requirements into clear technical integration solutions.
- Produce clear technical documentation covering integration design, data rules, and operational processes.
Nature and Scope
Your role will focus on the delivery of GIS model integration into ADMS to allow enhanced LV network visibility and management. The post holder operates across project delivery and operational support, ensuring that integrated GIS and ADMS models are accurate, resilient, and aligned with LV Management goals. You will contribute directly to the organisation's ambition to improve low‑voltage network insight, automation, and decision‑making through high‑quality data and system integration. You will collaborate with other teams and external partners and play an important part in promoting innovation while maintaining the stability and integrity of operational control systems.
