The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
This craft attendant fitter will report to the field staff supervisor and will work within network operations based in our Kings Lynn office. You will be an employee in our UK Power Networks team. You will attract a salary of £35,158 + benefits and a bonus of 3%. If you are successful, you will need to undertake a medical and DBS reference check.

Role
You will assist the fitters and/or Engineer in their role. This role involves construction, commissioning, and maintenance activities on Grid and Primary Substation. Meanwhile, they will observe that correct procedures are followed, with particular regard to safe working practices.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe working practices are observed following Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, UK Power Networks Safe Working Practices and Procedure and in line with the Distribution Safety Rules.
- Assist Craftsperson, Supervisor and Engineers in the Installation, maintenance and testing of all plant, apparatus and cables associated with the Grid, Primary and Distribution network.
- Help with fault location and repair of all plant, apparatus and cables associated with the Grid, Primary and Distribution network.
- Ensure that all works are carried out following the Distribution Safety Rules and to demonstrate a safety culture.
- Use IT equipment.
- Undertake a system emergency storm role following network standards and safety requirements.
Experience
- Experience of Electrical Installation works or an Electrical Improver.
- EAL Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation or Equivalent.
- Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
- CSCS/ECS Installation Electrical Card/EUSR SHEA Power or equivalent.
- Flexible and able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to problem solve in a practical way and able to work under pressure.
- Must have a clean driving licence (HGV Licence would be preferable but not essential).
- An understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation.
The successful candidate would undertake training and development to increase their knowledge and skills that could lead to progression within the organisation and may attain the higher authorisation levels, which would trigger salary and band progression.
