This Junior Decisions Scientist will report to the Senior Decision Sciences Manager and will work within the Strategy & Regulation and Support Services directorate based in our London office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £25,000.00 and a bonus of 7.5%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) – 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

Role Overview:
You will help use data to guide strategic decisions and operational improvements across UK Power Networks. You will develop advanced analytical models and tools to address important challenges and enhance our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trust and collaborate with other teams: Work with multiple directorates to understand their goals and analytics needs. Agree on the vision and scope of analytics projects to provide tailored solutions. Get involved in the upskilling of other teams with less experience with data analytics.
- Develop Insights and Tools: Create advanced analytical models and tools to extract relevant insights from complex datasets. Ensure these solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with our goals.
- Maintain Infrastructure: Oversee the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of analytics infrastructure to ensure reliable performance and continuous improvement of our tools and systems.
- Drive Impact: Contribute to important projects such as accelerating LCT connections, optimizing asset investments, and improving response times.

Requirements:
- Experience: You will have experience with analytical decision sciences or straight from university with experience of scientific analysis.
- Qualifications: Degree educated in a numerate discipline; track record in delivering analytical projects or open innovation projects.
- Skills: At least one of PowerBi, Python, R, Tableau.
