About the Role
Are you ready to lead and inspire a team of talented engineers? Join our Capital Programme team as a Design Manager and play a pivotal role in managing the design development for our projects. You will work with diverse teams to deliver industry‑leading solutions, ensuring high‑quality designs that comply with relevant legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage design teams, including Senior Design Engineers, Design Engineers, Technicians, and Contractors.
- Oversee the delivery of designs across various projects, from feasibility to commissioning.
- Provide technical leadership and ensure designs meet technical requirements and safety standards.
- Manage team budgets and report on performance to Senior Management.
- Drive technological advancements and optimize design solutions.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Degree level or equivalent in engineering or science.
- Experience in design management and leading design development.
- Knowledge of power system studies, protection systems, and relevant design standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and report writing.
