The predicted salary is between 34726 - 34726 £ per year.
This Asset Inspector will report to the Inspection & Maintenance FSS and will work within Network Operations based in our Crawley and Brighton / Croydon and Kingston Area office. You will be a permanent employee. You will attract a salary of £34,726 and a bonus of 3%. If you are successful, you will need to undertake a medical and DBS reference check.

To work as part of a team or as a lone worker in the Southeast Region. Perform the full range of responsibilities associated with Asset Inspection at voltages from Low voltage through to extra high voltage.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Inspection and non-intrusive diagnostic testing of all plant and apparatus associated with the distribution network
- Repair minor plant defects associated with the distribution network
- Take oil samples from HV Plant
Role and Responsibilities:
- Replace/test batteries associated with the distribution network
- Complete site visits required by the Electricity safety, quality and continuity regulations
- Perform system emergency suitable system emergency role depending on experience and suitable training
- Ensure that you work to the Distribution safety rules and demonstrate a safety culture
- Communicate with other departments within the business
Nature and Scope:
You undertaking you will play an important role in the safe completion of Inspection and maintenance programme in the Southeast Region. We may require you to work at any location within the UK Powernetworks footprint. You may be required to work either alone or with a team of other inspectors that report to a Field staff supervisor and have the support of experienced Field Engineers.
Experience:

- Clean Driving licence
- GCSEs in English and Maths

- Enthusiasm to learn and develop new techniques
- A strong safety focus
- A basic electrical background (desirable)
