UK Power Networks is looking for a passionate Stakeholder Engagement Manager to lead and shape engagement across our Capital Programme & Procurement portfolio - supporting major infrastructure projects that enable Net Zero, Green Recovery and long‑term community value.
The Opportunity
In this influential leadership role, you will manage a small, specialist team and work at the heart of major capital delivery projects across the UK. You will set the direction for stakeholder engagement excellence, working with local authorities, central government, regulators, communities, industry bodies and internal teams to minimise risk, protect reputation and deliver successful outcomes. What You Will Be Doing
- Leading and developing the CP&P stakeholder engagement team
- Creating and delivering stakeholder engagement strategies across major capital projects
- Building strong relationships with external stakeholders including government bodies, communities, landowners and industry partners
- Supporting Project Managers and senior leaders with proactive and reactive engagement
- Ensuring accurate audit trails and reporting through stakeholder management systems
- Contributing to business‑wide collaboration, reporting and internal communications
- Championing creative, low‑cost engagement approaches that deliver real impact
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in Stakeholder Engagement, Communications or Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience working in complex, regulated or infrastructure environments
- A proactive, collaborative mindset aligned to safety, values and inclusive behaviours
- Educated to A‑Level / Level 4 (or equivalent)
- Leadership, CIPR or professional qualifications are desirable (or willingness to work towards)
