Design Clerk EPN Bury St Edmunds | £41,031 + 3% Bonus | Hybrid Working Help Deliver the Projects That Keep Communities Connected At UK Power Networks, the success of our projects depends on the people who bring everything together behind the scenes. We're looking for a proactive and organised Design Clerk to become the vital link between customers, designers, project managers and engineering teams, helping deliver essential electricity infrastructure safely, efficiently and on time. Reporting to the Design Lead, you'll coordinate the flow of information across multiple stakeholders, source survey information from specialist contractors, manage HSE notifications for notifiable projects and monitor progress through P6 to keep projects on track. You'll organise design, HEML and Value Engineering reviews, monitor design risk assessments, review project performance data, identify lessons learned and support the timely closure of actions to help achieve programme and financial targets. You'll play a key role in maintaining project compliance and documentation, including preparing statutory notices, F10 notifications and appointment letters, tracking project status, updating document and drawing registers, maintaining design records within UK Power Networks systems and supporting the preparation of Health & Safety files. You'll also compile design dashboards, monitor capital programme milestones, provide P6 commentary, support monthly progress reporting and help coordinate workloads, delivery programmes and project performance across the portfolio. Working closely with Design Leads, Principal Designers, technical specialists and external design partners, you'll help ensure deliverables are completed to programme, budget and design requirements. You'll also support the wider engineering team through staff scheduling, training coordination and the administration of tools, authorisations and databases, while always maintaining company quality and design standards. We're looking for someone with experience in design coordination, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and proactively. You'll be confident using Microsoft Office applications, with experience of P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint, Toolkit and SAP. Experience within engineering, construction or electrical networks and a full UK driving licence would also be beneficial.
