Are you a seasoned Quantity Surveying professional looking to make a real impact on major infrastructure projects? We're looking for a Commercial Lead to help shape, deliver, and safeguard multi‑million‑pound contracts within our Capital Programme.
In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of producing, managing, and executing high‑value contracts (£200m-£300m annually across the team). You'll be the expert our Project Managers, QS teams, and senior stakeholders turn to-ensuring accuracy, compliance, risk management, and commercial success across a diverse portfolio.
What you'll be doing- Leading end‑to‑end contract creation, review, negotiation, and execution
- Providing specialist QS and contractual advice across long‑term capital and customer projects
- Collaborating with project teams (PMs, Designers, Planners, QSs) to ensure seamless delivery
- Managing risk registers, change control, pricing, and dispute resolution
- Producing high‑quality commercial reports and guiding stakeholders on NEC3 contract interpretation
- Supporting tender analysis, activity schedules and commercial governance
- Strong Quantity Surveying background with experience handling complex, high‑value contracts
- Expertise in contract writing, negotiation, and dispute management
- Degree in QS or similar (or extensive experience) + professional membership (RICS, CIOB, ICES etc.)
- Confident communicator with sharp analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills
- Advanced user of Word, Excel, and ideally PowerPoint & SAP
- IOSH certificate is a bonus
- £94,904 + car + 3% bonus
