Are you ready to play a key role in shaping essential infrastructure projects? We are looking for a proactive, detail‑driven Design Clerk to join our Capital Programme team in Bury St Edmunds. In this role, you will work closely with designers, principal designers, and stakeholders across multiple directorates, helping move complex engineering projects from concept to delivery. If you enjoy coordinating information, supporting project teams, and keeping everything running like clockwork, this is the perfect opportunity.
What You Will Be Doing
- Source and coordinate survey information
- Manage notifications to the HSE for all notifiable projects
- Monitor project progress in P6 and maintain communication with all parties
- Collate design dashboards and summarise key actions, risks, and learnings
- Arrange and support design reviews, Value Engineering sessions, and HEML assessments
- Maintain document registers, upload project documents, and support Health & Safety file compilation
- Assist in milestone tracking, training and scheduling, and wider engineering admin support
This role is ideal for someone who is self‑motivated, organised, and confident communicating with diverse teams.
About You
You will thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience in design coordination or engineering/construction environments
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, P6, SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SAP - training available!)
- The ability to work independently and hit deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A full UK driving licence
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to support multiple office locations
