At UK Power Networks, we're searching for an Assistant Communications Officer to become a vital part of our team. Based in either London or Ipswich (with some travel across our network patch), you'll work alongside experienced professionals in our Human Resources Directorate. This is your chance to play a key part in delivering our communications strategy, helping to shape the public perception of a company that keeps the lights on across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and support the communications strategy.
  • Monitor breaking news and respond to journalists.
  • Draft press releases and other communications content.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business.
  • Provide support during storms and major incidents.

Location: London or Ipswich, with occasional travel

Contract: Permanent

Blended working: Three office days, two remote (post-probation)

Salary: Up to 38,000 (DOE) + 7.5% bonus
