Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with quality assurance expertise in a UK CDM Regulations 2015 construction environment? Join UK Power Networks Services and help maintain the standards behind complex electrical infrastructure projects across high-profile sectors.

Reporting to the Quality and Assurance Manager, you will join the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Quality function in Central London, supporting power distribution and distributed energy solutions across the transport, defence, manufacturing, industrial, public and nuclear sectors.

Your role will be to provide quality management advice and promote ISO 9001:2015 compliance across electrical infrastructure construction projects. Working with colleagues, contractors, clients and external partners, you will review and develop procedures, support their implementation and visit company, client and project sites.

You will maintain the quality management system across tendering, design, construction, operation and maintenance; monitor compliance with ISO 9001:2015, legislation, procedures and client standards; plan and deliver project and supplier audits; produce reports; and ensure findings are resolved promptly.

You will guide Project Managers on quality documentation, develop inductions and training for project teams and subcontractors, capture lessons learned, maintain cost-of-poor-quality records, provide monthly updates and support incident investigations. You will also carry out field-performance inspections, check material, equipment and calibration certification, maintain final data-book records, facilitate external certification audits and champion continuous improvement.

You will hold an HNC or equivalent in Quality Management, Construction, Project Management, engineering or a related technical discipline, and be at least a Practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute with the ambition to achieve Chartered status. You must have construction quality management system experience—not quality control or inspection—plus UK CDM Regulations 2015 knowledge, QMS or Internal QMS Auditor training, ISO 9001:2015 auditing and root-cause analysis experience.

You will need a valid UK driving licence and the ability to obtain access passes for regulated environments. Strong communication, planning, presentation, decision-making and Microsoft Office skills are essential. ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 auditing experience is desirable; knowledge of ISO 55001:2024, ISO 44001:2017 and ISO 19650 is advantageous.

If you are ready to use your construction quality assurance expertise to help deliver reliable electrical infrastructure, apply today. Applications close 9 August 2026.
