Job Summary

We're looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative & Driver to join our team at Plumbase Cleveleys.

This is a varied, hands-on role split between working in the warehouse and making local customer deliveries.

You'll help keep the warehouse running smoothly by receiving stock, picking and preparing customer orders, loading vehicles and keeping everything organised.

You'll also get out on the road in our company van, delivering plumbing and heating products to trade customers across the local area.

Everyone in our site works together, so from time to time you'll also help out on the trade counter, serving customers and making sure they get the support they need.

You don't need previous plumbing and heating experience but it would certainly be helpful.

We're looking for someone reliable, comfortable with physical work and happy to get stuck into whatever needs doing across the site..

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer orders using a company van
  • Drive professionally and responsibly
  • Work across the site as part of the wider team to keep things running smoothly
  • Provide customer first, punctual service
  • Load and unload the van and check items before delivery
  • Receive and check deliveries from suppliers
  • Pick and prepare customer orders for dispatch
  • Perform heavy lifting of products
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts
  • Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and well-organised
  • What We’re Looking For
  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience in Commercial Driving, (including van or lorry) or experience in a warehouse environment
  • Strong customer relationship building ability
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • A team player with a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Good attention to detail and reliable time‑keeping
  • Previous experience within a plumbing and heating merchant, builders' merchant or similar trade environment would be useful, but isn't essential.
