About the Role

This isnt just a support role – its a springboard. Were looking for a driven, commercially focused Assistant Site Manager whos ready to step up, lead from the front, and make their mark.

Youll work side-by-side with the Business Manager to run one of our merchant sites at HPS Aldershot. We operate a decentralised model, which means our sites run with real autonomy – and were looking for someone ready to take responsibility, make decisions, and push the business forward.

What Youll Be Doing

Taking ownership of day-to-day operations and performance across the site

Leading, motivating, and supporting the team across sales, warehouse, and delivery

Working closely with the Site Manager to set local strategy and drive revenue

Building relationships with trade customers and ensuring outstanding service

Managing stock, purchasing, pricing, and site standards with a commercial eye

Stepping in confidently to run the site in the Managers absence

Getting stuck in wherever needed – this is a hands-on leadership role

What Were Looking For

Proven experience in a merchant or trade environment (plumbing & heating preferred)

Strong leadership qualities and a clear sense of accountability

Commercial awareness – you understand margin, stock movement, and cost control

Natural communicator with confidence in customers, suppliers, and team settings

Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, physical environment

A forward-thinker who wants to grow into a full Site Manager role

Full UK driving licence (essential)
