Domiciliary Healthcare Assistant (Adults & Children)

Location: Community-based – within 45 minutes of your home

Contract: Full-time, rota-based

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Domiciliary Healthcare Assistants to support both adults and children in their own homes and local communities. You will provide safe, person‑centred care that promotes independence, dignity and choice, while working within a structured rota that includes evenings and alternate weekends.

This role is ideal for HCAs who enjoy one‑to‑one work, are confident travelling between visits, and want the stability of clear shift patterns.

About the role

  • Provide personal care and support with daily living to adults and children in their own homes.

  • Work on planned domiciliary runs and packages, delivering consistent, high‑quality care.

  • Promote independence, involvement in family life and community inclusion.

  • Must be willing to Travel to visits within approximately 45 minutes of your home address.

  • Work fixed shift patterns only: 06:00–15:00, 15:00–23:00 or agreed long days (no alternative start or finish times).

  • Participate in a rolling rota including every other weekend and regular evening shifts.

  • Communicate effectively with families, colleagues and other professionals, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.

What you will bring

  • Previous experience working as a HCA/support worker in domiciliary or community settings.

  • Confidence supporting both adults and children, including with personal care.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work.

  • Willingness and ability to:

  • Work every other weekend.

  • Work evening shifts as part of the rota.

  • Work only the set shift times (06:00–15:00, 15:00–23:00 or long days).

  • Strong communication skills, professionalism and reliability.

  • A compassionate, respectful approach and a genuine commitment to high‑quality care.
