- Technical grid consulting – advising on complex grid connections, regulatory strategy, and power system planning for some of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Smart grid control systems – designing and deploying advanced automation, monitoring, and control solutions that enable customers to connect, manage and optimise energy assets across large, distributed networks.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>The Project Engineer role will work across both areas of the business, supporting the successful integration and deployment of our systems in line with client requirements, company policies and relevant industry standards.

<\/span><\/span><\/p>The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has gained strong hands -on and technical experience within the electrical infrastructure, power systems or grid connections sector. This may include experience as a Project Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Electrical Supervisor, DNO/ICP Engineer or similar technical role. The role would suit someone with a practical understanding of electrical systems who is confident managing project delivery, coordinating technical works, supporting commissioning activities and engaging with clients, contractors, DNOs, ICPs and equipment manufacturers.

<\/span><\/span><\/div>What You’ll Be Doing <\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>- Managing and supporting the delivery of engineering projects from concept, design and procurement through to installation, commissioning, energisation and final handover.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Coordinating project activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with client requirements, project specifications, industry standards and company procedures.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Leading and supporting commissioning activities, including testing, energisation, client demonstrations, DNO witness testing and compliance with relevant engineering standards and recommendations.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, ICPs, DNOs, CPOs and equipment manufacturers to ensure successful project delivery.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Preparing, reviewing and ensuring adherence to job -specific RAMS, CDM requirements and company policies and procedures.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Producing and reviewing technical specifications, drawings, commissioning documentation, project reports, handover packs and other engineering documentation.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Preparing technical proposals, tender submissions and supporting documentation to assist with new business opportunities.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Supporting the research, development and deployment of innovative Smart Technology solutions, including systems for energy monitoring, load control, generation control and grid connection compliance.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Reviewing project requirements, identifying technical risks, resolving engineering queries and escalating issues where required.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, DNOs, ICPs, CPOs and other key stakeholders.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> - Ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard of workmanship, technical compliance and customer satisfaction.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/div><\/span>Requirements<\/h3> <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>Essential Qualifications & Certifications<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
