We’re looking for a driven individual to work as a Product Manager, focussed on our Payment proposition.

For this job you\’ll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you\’ll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Swindon or Northampton office. What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for our payments proposition, ensuring it meets the needs of our customers and commercial ambitions.

  1. Understanding the payments landscape and ensure our payments offering meets our customer’s needs, delivers great outcomes and is commercially sustainable.
  2. Developing and manage our product propositions, driving forward proposals from concept right through to delivery. This will involve strong collaboration across the organisation.
  3. Understanding the regulatory outcome and ensure propositions and usage meet Consumer Duty requirements.
  4. Monitoring product performance and utilise insight including emerging industry trends, market, and member research to deliver key commercial objectives.
  5. Acting as a product SME on key projects.
  6. Developing quality written proposals that facilitate formal decision making and broaden the understanding of key issues.

About you

As a minimum, we are looking for someone with the following skills:

  1. Financial Services product management experience and a thorough understanding of the market.
  2. Understands not only the customer but the impacts on commercials, risk and operations and can demonstrate this.
  3. A collaborative person who is analytical and creative.
  4. Proven ability to prioritise effectively, make decisions and get the job done.
  5. Strategic thinker with experience identifying challenges and developing solutions through market and customer insight, commercial awareness and strong analytical skills.
  6. Possess strong influencing and collaboration skills and experience of building relationships with stakeholders across the Society.
  7. Experience presenting information to senior executives and the wider team.
  8. Have the ability to lead people on an indirect basis.
