At UK National, we're expanding and looking for a reliable, skilled Gas Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You'll be part of a supportive company that values your expertise and invests in your future.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on gas appliances and heating systems
- Performing safety inspections, testing, and certification in line with Gas Safe standards
- Installing, commissioning, and decommissioning gas systems and appliances
- Responding to emergency callouts and resolving issues quickly and effectively
- Maintaining accurate records, including safety certificates and job reports
- Working closely with clients, site contacts, and internal teams to deliver excellent service
- Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety policies
- Staying up to date with industry regulations and best practices
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Valid ACS qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1 (plus other relevant modules)
- Current Gas Safe registration
- Minimum 3 years' experience in gas engineering within FM or service environments
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
Desirable:
- Commercial gas qualifications: COCN1, CODNCO1
- Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems)
- Background working on public sector or commercial contracts
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
