The Role
As a Stores Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Property team by managing deliveries, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring items are transported safely and efficiently across various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and sign for deliveries against dispatch notes
- Load and unload vehicles with furniture, materials, and equipment
- Ensure all items are protected during transit and storage
- Deliver furniture and building materials across multiple properties
- Build and dismantle furniture as required
- Maintain accurate stock lists and support inventory management
- Keep the vehicle clean, organised, and regularly checked
- Complete and submit all relevant paperwork daily
- Provide cover for colleagues when required
- Follow all company policies, with a strong focus on health and safety
- Participate in shift patterns and on-call rota when required
- Carry out any additional duties within the scope of the role
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a professional with:
- Previous experience in a similar stores, warehouse, or logistics role
- Experience in handling, building, or dismantling furniture
- Manual handling training (desirable)
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Knowledge of routes across Surrey, London, and surrounding areas (desirable)
