Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of the premises to identify and deter potential security risks or unauthorised activity.
- Monitor access and egress points, verify credentials, and ensure that only authorised individuals gain entry to restricted areas.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels, identifying suspicious activity or equipment malfunctions and escalating where necessary.
- Respond immediately and appropriately to alarms, incidents, medical emergencies, or disturbances in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and produce detailed incident reports relating to theft, injury, property damage, or security breaches.
- Act as a professional and courteous point of contact for residents, staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Escort contractors and visitors as required, ensuring compliance with security procedures.
- Report directly to the Security Supervisor and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
- Ensure a professional approach is maintained at all times, with particular emphasis on confidentiality and discretion.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, particularly in relation to Health & Safety.
- Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence when required.
- Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in a security role.
- Valid SIA licence (desirable/essential depending on requirement).
- Experience conducting patrols and monitoring CCTV systems.
- Ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.
- Strong written skills to produce clear incident reports.
- Clean driving licence (if vehicle patrol required).
- Current First Aid certificate (desirable).
- No recorded criminal convictions.
