The Role

As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring CCTV systems, managing access control, responding to security incidents, and maintaining accurate records. Working as part of a dedicated security team, you will help ensure the safety of people, property, and assets while delivering an efficient and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV systems to maintain the security of the estate and respond appropriately to security breaches.
  • Accurately record and report all incidents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Manage the issue and return of security keys, access cards, and visitor passes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security protocols.
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to deliver an efficient security service.
  • Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence as required.
  • Undertake any other duties requested by management within the scope of the role.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a security control room or similar security environment.
  • Experience monitoring and operating CCTV surveillance systems.
  • Valid SIA CCTV Licence.
  • Highly computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional, reliable, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
