Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and service the mechanical and electrical systems, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), and electrical installation.
- Plan preventive and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is completed to high standards and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Maintain the on-site activities of contractors to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
- Provide technical support for both mechanical and electrical systems within the property.
- Participate in an on-call rota and manage seasonal shift patterns, including weekends and evenings.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, including completion of reports and job sheets.
- Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
Knowledge and Skills
- Engineering/Technical Qualifications: Essential (e.g., Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 in mechanical/plumbing/HVAC or electrical engineering).
- Mechanical Systems: Proven competency in maintaining systems such as AHUs, FCUs, pump seals, bearings, and alignment.
- Electrical Systems: Certification in BS7671 17th or 18th Edition City & Guilds, including C&G 2391 for Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Electrical Installations.
- Building Services: Experience in building management systems (BMS) and the integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Driving Licence: Essential, full and clear.
- Technical Documentation: Proficiency in writing clear and concise reports and job sheets, both manually and electronically.
