Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake general property maintenance & repairs throughout our properties including carpentry, tiling, decoration with general repairs to doors, windows & locking systems.
- Building of minor timber structures like sheds, crates & kennels etc.
- Installation & repairs of gutters and drainpipe systems.
- General repairs of basic plumbing.
- Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
- Assist other staff members as required.
- Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on-call assistance.
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
- Liaise regularly with colleagues, supervisors and managers to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered to the client.
- Shift patterns & on-call rota as & when required.
- Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety.
- Any other duties as and when required by your line manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to demonstrate good use of basic hand tools.
- Knowledge of a building trade i.e., carpentry, door & window locks, decorating, plastering & tiling.
- Sound numerical ability for measuring and making calculations.
- Basic knowledge of current Building Regulations.
- A thorough understanding of Health and Safety standards.
- A professional approach with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Significant proven experience.
- Be able to follow specific instructions.
