Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake general property maintenance & repairs throughout our properties including carpentry, tiling, decoration with general repairs to doors, windows & locking systems.
  • Building of minor timber structures like sheds, crates & kennels etc.
  • Installation & repairs of gutters and drainpipe systems.
  • General repairs of basic plumbing.
  • Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Assist other staff members as required.
  • Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on-call assistance.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Liaise regularly with colleagues, supervisors and managers to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered to the client.
  • Shift patterns & on-call rota as & when required.
  • Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety.
  • Any other duties as and when required by your line manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate good use of basic hand tools.
  • Knowledge of a building trade i.e., carpentry, door & window locks, decorating, plastering & tiling.
  • Sound numerical ability for measuring and making calculations.
  • Basic knowledge of current Building Regulations.
  • A thorough understanding of Health and Safety standards.
  • A professional approach with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Significant proven experience.
  • Be able to follow specific instructions.
