The Role
As a BMS Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimising building management systems across a varied property portfolio. You will play a key role in ensuring systems run efficiently, faults are resolved promptly, and overall building performance is continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily checks and monitoring of BMS across domestic and commercial properties
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on BMS components including actuators, valves, and control modules
- Replace faulty components and update/download system software where required
- Calibrate controllers and ensure systems are operating efficiently
- Manage and liaise with specialist contractors when required
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and job sheets
- Ensure availability of spare parts and coordinate ordering through management
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns/reactive tasks
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
