About Us Join our dedicated team as a Groom - HGV (Permanent) and play a vital role in the daily care, exercise, and transportation of horses.
You will help maintain the highest standards of horse welfare while supporting riding activities and ensuring a safe, professional environment.
The Role As a Groom - HGV (Permanent), you will be responsible for the day-to-day care of horses, stable management, exercising horses, transporting horses, and supporting client riding activities.
You will work closely with the Head Groom to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all horses while maintaining equipment and facilities to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities Perform daily stable yard and field duties, including feeding, handling, and grooming horses.
Muck out and clean stables to a high standard.
Report any horse ailments, infections, or injuries to the Head Groom immediately.
Administer treatments to horses as directed.
Exercise allocated horses daily through lunging, hacking, schooling, or track cantering.
Safely lead fit horses, including stallions.
Check and maintain the safety and serviceability of all equipment, reporting any repairs required.
Ensure riding arenas are clean and tidy at the end of each day.
Transport horses safely as required.
