We are seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to ensure the optimal operation and reliability of all mechanical and electrical systems within the property, maintaining functionality and safety across all facilities.
The Role
As an M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while providing technical support for both disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and service mechanical and electrical systems, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), and electrical installations.
- Plan preventive and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is completed to high standards and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Monitor and oversee on-site activities of contractors to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
- Provide technical support for both mechanical and electrical systems within the property.
- Participate in an on-call rota and manage seasonal shift patterns, including weekends and evenings.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, including completion of reports and job sheets.
What We're Looking For
- Engineering/Technical Qualifications (Essential), such as Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven competency in maintaining mechanical systems, including AHUs, FCUs, pump seals, bearings, and alignment.
- Certification in BS7671 17th or 18th Edition City & Guilds, including C&G 2391 for Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Electrical Installations.
- Experience in building management systems (BMS) and the integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Full clean UK Driving Licence (Essential).
- Proficiency in writing clear and concise reports and job sheets, both manually and electronically.
