We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Operations Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep and smooth running of a high-end private property. This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across a range of maintenance tasks and takes pride in delivering high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and minor repair works across the property
- Move, lift, and reposition furniture and equipment as required
- Assemble furniture, shelving, and other items
- Support small building or improvement projects
- Identify and report maintenance issues such as leaks, damage, or faults
- Assist with storage and warehouse organisation, including logging items in and out
- Undertake basic carpentry and general practical tasks
- Source materials from local suppliers when required
- Support and oversee contractors on-site where needed
- Provide general support across the team, including occasional on-call assistance
About You
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role
- Strong practical skills with the ability to carry out a range of hands-on tasks
- Experience in at least one trade (e.g. carpentry, plastering, tiling)
- Confident using hand tools and equipment
- Full, clean UK driving licence (ability to drive a van)
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
