The Role
As a Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality interior and exterior decorating works across a range of properties. You will play a key role in maintaining the aesthetic standards of our estates, ensuring all finishes meet a premium level.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out interior and exterior painting and decorating across multiple properties
- Prepare surfaces including filling, sanding, priming, and ensuring high-quality finishes
- Hang and line wallpaper, calculating required materials accurately
- Paint walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, windowsills, and skirting boards
- Carry out specialist finishes such as varnishing or French polishing where required
- Support other trades to ensure a seamless and high-standard finish across projects
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including COSHH and working at height
- Participate in seasonal shifts and on-call rota when required
- Complete additional tasks as requested within the scope of the role
What We're Looking For
- NVQ or City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and decorating techniques
- Experience in both residential and high-end/luxury environments (desirable)
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- The ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and decorating equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality finishes
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive, reliable, and professional approach to work
