Stores Assistant (Permanent)
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and sign for orders, checking against delivery dispatch notes.
- Load and unload vehicles with furniture, building materials, and other items.
- Ensure furniture is protected during transit and storage to prevent damage.
- Build and dismantle furniture as required.
- Consolidate stock lists and maintain inventory.
- Deliver furniture and building materials to various properties efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the van, including daily emptying and regular vehicle checks.
- Submit all completed forms to the office at the end of each day.
- Provide cover for colleagues during absences.
- Adhere to all company policies, particularly health and safety regulations.
- Participate in shifts and on-call rotations.
- Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
- Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in a similar role, particularly in building and dismantling items.
- Health and Safety manual handling certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Hold a full clean UK driving license.
- Knowledge of driving routes in Surrey, London, and Suffolk (Desirable).
